📦 What you'll need:
  • ✔ FeedCurrent / KinCony smart controller (F, B, T, DM, AIO series, etc.)
  • ✔ USB-C cable (must support data transfer, not just charging)
  • DC power adapter (voltage depends on your specific model – e.g., 12V or 24V. Always check product specs to avoid damage.)
  • ✔ A computer with internet access (Windows / macOS / Linux)
ℹ️ Note: The device shown in this video is the AIO Hybrid. Installation for other modules (F series, DM series, etc.) is similar to AIO Hybrid.

Flash Firmware · Two Ways to Flash
💡 Choose the method that works best for you: Online Flasher requires no driver installation and works entirely in your browser. Manual Flash uses the traditional desktop tool.
RECOMMENDED 🌐 Online Flasher

🎬 Online flasher step-by-step guide (video will be added once ready)
① Go to Online Flasher:
② Flashing steps:
  1. Connect device: Plug the correct DC adapter into the controller and connect the USB‑C cable to your computer.
  2. Open Online Flasher: Click the button above to open the tool page.
  3. Connect in browser: Click "Connect Device" and select your device's serial port when prompted.
  4. Select firmware: The latest version is selected by default. If you encounter issues, switch to the Stable version.
  5. Select product model: Choose your device model from the dropdown menu.
  6. Click "Flash": Wait for the progress bar to complete. A success message means the firmware is flashed.
🌐 Browser support: Online Flasher requires Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, or Opera (version 89+). Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Safari is not supported. The page must be accessed via HTTPS.

ALTERNATIVE 🖥️ Manual Flash (Desktop Tool)
🎬 Video tutorial: Manual flash using ESP32 Flash Download Tool
🔧 Driver info: ESP32-S3 boards use a native USB CDC driver. Most operating systems detect it automatically. If not, install the CP210x universal driver (see right‑hand panel).
② Flashing steps:
  1. Connect power and USB: Plug the correct DC adapter into the controller, and connect the USB‑C cable to your computer.
  2. Run the flashing tool: Open flash_download_tool_3.9.2.exe, select chip ESP32S3, mode develop, download method usb.
  3. Load firmware: Click the folder icon, choose the KCS v3 .bin file → set address 0x0 and tick the checkbox.
  4. Select COM port: In your computer's Device Manager, find the USB JTAG/serial debug unit COM port, baud rate set to 921600.
  5. Click START: Wait for the progress bar to finish. A green “FINISH” message means success.
🔁 If flashing gets stuck or times out: unplug the USB cable, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in and click START again. No need to hold any buttons.
🔧 If your computer cannot detect the COM port, you may need to manually enter bootloader mode:
  1. Power off the controller.
  2. Press and hold the DL button (ESP32 download button).
  3. Power on the controller while still holding the button.
  4. Release the button after 2 seconds.
  5. The controller will now be in bootloader mode. Retry flashing.

First Boot & Network Setup
🎬 Video tutorial: First boot and AP mode WiFi setup
🌐 Method 1: Ethernet (most stable)
Connect the controller to your router (same LAN as your computer) using an Ethernet cable. Power on, and the device will obtain an IP automatically. If your device has an OLED screen, the IP address will be shown on the screen. Otherwise, use the UDP scan tool to discover the IP.
📶 Method 2: WiFi AP mode (no router needed)
After powering on, the device broadcasts a hotspot named AIO-Hybrid-XXXX (for AIO Hybrid series) or MODEL_XXXX (for other series). Connect your computer or phone to this WiFi, open a browser and go to http://192.168.4.1. Default username and password are both admin.
🌟 Tip: If you can't find the hotspot, press and hold the reset button (GPIO0) for more than 10 seconds to restore factory settings — the device will go back to AP mode.
🎉 Once logged in, go to the «Network» page. A valid IP address or connected WiFi status means your device is online. 🎉
Quick Start FAQ
🔸 Does the device come with pre‑flashed firmware?
No. All B/F/T/DM/N/AIO series devices are shipped without firmware. You need to flash KCS v3, ESPHome, or your own code.
🔸 No COM port detected when flashing?
First, make sure your USB‑C cable supports data transfer. Then confirm the controller is powered via the correct DC adapter. If the issue persists, install the CP210x driver (available on the right).
🔸 Can USB‑C power the device?
USB‑C is for firmware flashing and debugging only. It cannot drive high‑power loads (relays, MOSFETs). The main power must come from the DC terminal with the correct voltage.
🔸 Will I lose settings after a firmware update?
KCS v3 supports configuration export/import (since March 2026). Before upgrading, export your config — after flashing, import it back to restore everything.
🔸 How to flash on macOS?
We recommend using ESPHome Web Tool (web.esphome.io) — it works entirely in your browser, no drivers needed.
